The Cornell Chorus, led by Director Scott Tucker, peformed at Brighton High School on June 9, 2004. Many Cornell alumni were among those attending the event. Highlights included the addition of 18 women from the Brighton High School Chorus for one separately-rehearsed song, and the CC After Eight a capella group did an 80’s tribute of Cyndi Lauper’s “Time after Time” and The Stray Cats’ “Stray Cat Blues”.
After the performance, the Cornell Club of Rochester held a brief annual meeting in which the approval of the new Board of Directors was announced and the annual Treasurer’s Report was circulated. Then the club treated all to a reception, including some appetizers donated by Hickory Farms as the Board conducts research on an expanded selection of holiday gift items for scholarship fundraising. Local families hosted the Chorus overnight before their return to Ithaca for one day of rest prior to a Reunion concert; the Rochester performance was the last stop on a multistate tour.
